NETWORKING INFORMATION

S3 is a European network of people and experiences whose main goal is to share ideas, knowledge and solutions in managing Structural Funds, also in view of the next programming period and of the EU enlargement

NETWORKING PEOPLE

The core of the Networking people Component has been the realisation of a study visit programme, which involved more than 100 delegates, who participated in 9 study visits organised between February and July 2006.

The results of the exchange programme have been presented during project final conference, where two major achievements were highlighted: a significant transfer of experiences from one region to another and the establishment of bilateral contacts between partners, for a more effective adoption of transferred practices.

5 dissemination events were organised by project partners in order to spread additional information on study visits results. Such events were addressed to relevant staff who could not be involved in the exchange programme.

NETWORKING INFORMATION

Analysing and exchanging experiences of European regions in the programming, management and evaluation of Structural Funds Programmes has been the core of S3 project. In view of 2007-2013 programming period, S3 has aimed to identify innovative practices, which S3 partners could look at for transferability.

The organisation of seminars, workshops and other dissemination events at the central, regional and local levels served as an echo for widening the debate on determined issues, felt as particularly strategic by S3 project partners.

Events organised in the last months of project implementation constituted also the opportunity to present S3 preliminary results to a wider audience. Presentations focused on the methodological analysis and on lessons learned on the transferability of practices.

An updated list of dissemination events realised can be found in the Events web site section.
